Updates to Erasmus+

ETH Zurich will provide the financial means for the student exchange in the academic year 2014/15 (scholarships for incoming as well as outgoing students) in case that no other solution can be found.

Due to the outcome of the federal vote on February 9, the negotiations between Switzerland and the EU regarding the participation in the Erasmus+ programme have been suspended. In the academic year 2014/15 Switzerland will therefore not be able to participate in Erasmus+ as a programme country but will be considered a third country (partner country).

At the moment it is still unclear what will be the exact consequences. We are in contact with the Swiss authorities, and we will inform our partners and students as soon as concrete information is available - which should be the case next week.

ETH Zurich will do everything possible to continue exchange with the European partner universities. We strongly recommend to all students (incoming and outgoing) to apply as previewed.

Please find external pagehere the up to date information from the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.

The application deadline for Erasmus SMS remains unchanged 1 March 2014.
