Tandem learning is all about learning a language and talking to another person. Fortunately this can be done online.

Tandem works like this

The two of you meet over Zoom, Skype or another video calling platform and you improve your language skills by having conversations. In this way, two native speakers help each other learn each other’s language. You can talk about your studies, current topics of interest or cultural differences.

And this is how you find a tandem partner

Go to the external pageLanguage Center websiteand fill in the form designating your target language, your level and your mother tongue. The Language Center will contact you as soon as it has a match.

On its website, you will also find instructions on how to best approach the learning process, how to find topics and how to set goals together.

You have not found a tandem partner or you prefer learning a language in a small group?

Sign up for a language get-together at one of the external pageSelf-Access Centres, which now offer many of their learning external pageactivities online.
