Graphic novels – far-off worlds and ominous-looking cities

Architecture and graphic novels – do the two really go together? Of course! Graphic novels combine art, literature and architecture. Visual representations depict travel through futuristic worlds, adventures in ominous-looking cities or lonely life in a megalopolis.

The buildings we see reflect the desires and dreams of their residents.

Graphic novels help to bridge the gap between the man-made environment and our daily experience as part of it.

The Architecture and Civil Engineering Library now features an open-access area with graphic novels to read and think about in the reading lounge. They are also available to check out, so you can read them at home.
