HackZurich is Europes most renowned Hackathon and unites 550 top engineering students, selected from a global pool of 5000+ applications, representing several elite universities from more than 50 countries, to hack on web, mobile, and hardware for a 40-hour competition. International companies provide participants with hardware and programming frameworks to spark the creation of new applications in several categories. From a professional side, HackZurich represents a unique opportunity to touch base with new technologies, innovation opportunities and talents.
HackZurich was founded by students of the UZH and ETHZ and is still in close contact with members of the UZH. Every year an above-average number of students and doctoral candidates from the UZH and ETHZ take part in HackZurich.
