People from more than 120 nations work and study at ETH. No matter how different their cultures are, a lot of them have one thing in common: baking rituals at the turn of the year are a tradition in a lot of countries. Whether spice biscuits from Greece, gingerbread cookies from the USA, lussekatter yeast buns from Sweden, Jewish lekach New Year's cake or our local Brunsli – tell us your favourite baking recipe from your country and share it with the ETH community.

Send the recipe along with a short explanation of what you associate with the biscuit or pastry and why you like it so much to by Friday, 30 October. We will publish a selection of them in the December issue of the ETH staff magazine life.
