Jaboury Ghazoul explores the ecological dynamics of tropical and temperate landscapes. He is interested in how ecological processes that are mediated through plant-animal interactions are affected by land management decisions, and how this in turn affects environmental outcomes at a variety of spatial scales. Working with land managers, farmers, conservation agencies, and policy makers across the tropics, and in Scotland, he researchers how ecosystems function in human-dominated systems, and develops participatory models to evaluate scenarios of change in complex socio-ecological landscapes.

The Royal Society Fellowship (RSE) comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland. The induction of Jaboury Ghazoul as a Fellow will take place at the End of May.
