Paola Picotti won the Friedrich-Miescher-Preis 2018

The jury of the Friedrich Miescher Prize announced the two awardees for 2018: Paola Picotti (professor at the Institute of Molecular Systems Biology, ETH Zurich) shares the award with Marek Basler (Biozentrum Basel). The prize honours young biochemists.

The Friedrich Miescher Award was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of nucleic acids by the Molecular and Cellular Biosciences Division of Life Sciences Switzerland (formerly the Swiss Society for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences/Swiss Society for Biochemistry). It is sponsored by the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) in Basel.

The official award ceremony will take place at the LS2 Annual Conference 2018 in Lausanne (February 12,2018,16:15-16:45 hrs, Amphimax, external pagewww.annual-meeting.ls2.ch), where the two awardees will give a lecture.
