ETH Meets MASI
10 Sep 2023 - 7 Jan 2024: From Albrecht Dürer to Andy Warhol. Masterpieces from the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich. The exhibition offers not only a fascinating journey through the history of art over the last six centuries, but also a detailed look at the various engraving and drawing techniques used and perfected by artists over the centuries.
With over 160,000 works from the 15th century to the present, the Graphische Sammlung is one of the most important collections of prints and drawings in Switzerland.
The exhibition at external pageMASI presents to the public for the first time the most important core pieces of the collection, which includes masterpieces by artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Lucas van Leyden, Elisabetta Sirani, Hendrik Goltzius, Rembrandt van Rijn, Maria Sibylla Merian, Francisco de Goya, Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Käthe Kollwitz, Louise Bourgeois, Miriam Cahn and many others.
This exhibition is curated by Dr. Linda Schädler, Head of the Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich.
