A Dip into the Big Apple

This year’s Polyball features New York – the city that never sleeps. Find a slice of the Big Apple around the Polyterrasse: an ice rink, reminiscent of the famous Rockefeller Center Ice Rink, and a mini Brooklyn Bridge.

external pagePolyball 2013will be celebrated under the motto "New York Nights". On 30 November, guests of the largest ball in Switzerland will be entirely immersed in the atmosphere of the Empire City.

From Grand Central to Time Square

For one night, the ETH main building will be decked out à la Manhattan. Ball guests will appear on Broadway and waltz in the streets and avenues near Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center. In Central Park, they can take a culinary break, then go for an after-dinner stroll on the Hudson River before arriving at Times Square to dance the night away.

A New York winter experience

But the night would not be complete without a spin around the ice rink at Rockefeller Center, specially installed for the occasion on the ETH Polyterrasse. The "Poly Ball Ice Rink" is free already open to the public.

For all ETH staff with dancing shoes, we are giving away two pairs of tickets to the Polyball. Send an email with contact details for a chance to win: .

Come and be a part of it – New York, New York!
