Phil Baty on the World University Rankings: 14.1.2015 at ETH Zurich
On 14 January 2015 ETH Global will host a lecture by Phil Baty, editor of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. He will lecture on "World University Rankings: From a Student Consumer Tool to a Powerful Geopolitical Indicator of the Knowledge Economy".
Phil Baty is a regular speaker at international conferences, contributing recently to events organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the World Bank, the Organization for Economic cooperation and Development, the British Council, the British Academy and others. He was named among the top "most influential in education" by "The Australian" newspaper in 2012.
The introduction to the lecture will be given by Prof. Gerd Folkers, director of the Collegium Helveticum.
