Starting a Master's degree programme

Bachelor’s degree students at ETH Zurich may commence a Master’s degree programme consecutive to the previous degree programme, provided that they fulfil the transfer requirements.

Follow-on studies of this kind are called “consecutive Master’s degree programmes”. The transfer requirements are defined in the appendix to the corresponding Master’s degree programme regulations.

If the prerequisites for a transfer are fulfilled, the possible Master’s degree programmes will be suggested for registration. If the student selects one of the suggested consecutive Master’s programmes, a Master’s degree matriculation will be created in addition to the Bachelor’s degree matriculation.

Specific conditions of admission apply to specialised Master’s degree programmes. ETH Zurich students must also apply for them protected pageonline. The prerequisites for successful admission are stated in the appendix to the corresponding programme regulations.
