Function

Subtitles are a written representation of the spoken content. They are often used to provide a translation of foreign-language content.

Timing

The subtitles are displayed over the corresponding video content.

Specifications

The components of the subtitles (font, bar, animation, maximum two lines) may not be modified.

Text

Text formats are pre-defined and are automatically available when using the AE project.

Opacity

Opacity of the bar and text must be between 30% and 100%. The text must be easy to read.

Placement

Flexible placement – the standard placement provided in the template is usually good.

Duration

The length of time they are displayed depends on the speed of the speech. Tip: export as a still image and specify the length of time in the video editor.
