Fire Safety Training

The fire safety trainings at ETH Zurich are held for 4 weeks per year. The next series will start at the beginning of the autumn semester 2024.

The Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) administrative department offers fire safety trainings once a year for 4 weeks. In the theoretical part, participants will be tought how to prevent fire emergencies. In the practical part, the participants learn how to behave in case of a fire. Each student has the opportunity to fight a fire with a portable fire extinguisher under expert guidance.

For some undergraduate students engaging in certain fields of study, participation is mandatory in the first semester. They will be informed by email.
