From September 10 to 15, ETH Week 2023 will be held on the theme of Circular Realities. In the eighth edition of the course, 160 students and 80 experts will come together to explore the topic of the circular economy. During six days of intensive work, students define a problem in the field and develop an approach to solve it. The process follows the design thinking method.

Like the year before, parts of the program are open to all ETH members. At the Inspirational Night on the first evening, Bas van Abel, founder of Fairphone, will speak. Fairphone makes sustainable, repairable, and fairly produced smartphones. Critical Thinking Night on the second evening will feature a discussion with Dr. Walter Stahel, one of the earliest and most influential theorists in the field of the circular economy. The students' final presentations will also be open to the public.
