How did you overcome a personal crisis?

For the next issue of life magazine, we are looking for ETH members who would like to talk about their life crises. If you think other people can learn from your experiences and take heart from them, please let us know by 28 August.

Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a serious illness or being overwhelmed at work – a life crisis can have many causes. Sometimes you can’t even identify the true cause, or you only realise it after the crisis is over.

In our society, talking about personal low points or mental problems – which often lead to life crises – is still often taboo. We’d like to break this taboo in the next issue of life magazine.

Talking about your own experiences not only helps you work through things – it also helps others in similar situations. And social taboos can only be broken by making them visible and talking about them.

Have you experienced a personal crisis and overcome it? What helped you, and how has the crisis affected your life? If you would like other ETH members to learn from your experiences and take heart from them, please contact by 28 August.
