With three world records, multiple world champion titles and several marathon wins, Heinz Frei is a pioneer of wheelchair sports who has witnessed the technological evolution of racing wheelchairs first-hand. On 12 September 2022, he shares his inspiring story at the RESC Symposium «Shaping the Future of Rehabilitation».

The Competence Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Science (RESC), evolved through the ETH Rehab Initiative, promotes research, education, and strengthens interdisciplinary cooperation in rehabilitation. On 12 September 2022, RESC hosts its first symposium.
