SSHE launches new website

If you've recently looked for information about Safety, Security, Health and Environment at ETH, you will have noticed that the department has relaunched its website with a clearer and more user-friendly design.

Anyone visiting the Safety, Security, Health and Environment department's website recently will have been greeted with a fresh design, which was launched at the start of the year. The structure of the website has been reworked with a particular emphasis on criteria such as clarity and user-friendliness.

Find what you need to know faster

The first thing greeting visitors to the new SSHE site is information organised by user group. Employees, for example, can click on the ‘employee’ icon and find out more about their rights (e.g. receiving an ergonomics consultation) and responsibilities (e.g. obligation to cooperate) during their time at ETH.

The new website makes it easy to find information on SSHE courses, services and advisory services as well as what to do in the event of an emergency. Users can also use the lists of Topics A to Z and important Documents A to Z to find the information they need.

Focus on accessibility

The redesign of the new website was based not only on user-friendliness, but also on accessibility. In order to make the site as accessible as possible, information such as the aforementioned user group graphics are also depicted in list form. The advantage is that reading programs for people with visual impairments can deal much better with lists than images.
