Turn of the year 2021/2022
For the period from Friday, 24 December 2021 up to and including Sunday, 2 January 2022, special ETH Zurich opening times and operational hours apply.
Reduced services
On Friday, 24 December 2021, all ETH buildings and counters will close at 12 noon. You can still enter the buildings using your key or ETH card.
Please note that due to the epidemiological situation, counter opening hours may vary at short notice. To be sure, consult the respective website in advance.
At the turn of the year, all customer counters will be closed – and will not respond to telephone calls or emails.
What is the procedure for special incidents or emergencies?
For incidents concerning persons, buildings and infrastructure, the ETH Emergency Desk is at your service over the holiday period.

Sports Centre Polyterrasse
- 24.12.2021, until 12.30 p.m. only individual training, no lessons, no front desk operation; closed from 1 p.m.

Sports Centre Irchel
- 24.12.2021, until 11.45 a.m. only individual training, no lessons; then closed

Sports Centre Hönggerberg

Other sports centres
All other sports centres are closed over the holiday period. external pageASVZ offers videos for home workouts.
From 3 January 2022, all sports centres will be open again during regular opening hours.
The ETH Library, special libraries, collections, and archives will be closed from 12 noon on 24.12.2021 until 02.01.2022. Research and information on the ETH Library website
The ETH eLink shuttle bus will follow its normal rounds until the afternoon of 24.12.2021. Last trip: 13.50 Zentrum / 13.54 Hönggerberg.
There will be no eLink service at the turn of the year. The Downloadregular timetable (PDF, 451 KB) will apply from 03.01.2022 again.
The Service Desk operated by IT Services will not be staffed from 12 noon on 24.12.2021 to 02.01.2022.

Campus Info
Central contact points for information and services as well as any questions about ETH Zurich.
Campus Info at Zentrum and Hönggerberg, and the telephone switchboard will provide a full service until 12 noon on 24.12.2021. After that, Campus Info will be closed until 02.01.2022.
Print and Publish
The large-format printing systems in the self-service areas and the Print and Publish webshops will not be in operation from 12 noon on 24.12. 2021 until 8 a.m. on 03.01.2020. Open orders will be delivered as of 04.01.2022.
Post
ETH internal mail to be delivered by Logistics by the morning of 24.12.2021 must be dropped off at the postal delivery points by the evening of 22.12.2021.
From 25.12.2021 up to and including 02.01.2022, there will be no mail collection or delivery. The normal postal service will restart on 03.01.2022.
A-Post and PostPac Priority items handed in at Campus Info by 22.12.2021 can be delivered throughout Switzerland by Christmas. external pageItems destined for Europe must be handed in by 15.12.2021. Last collection at Campus Info is 11.30 a.m. on 24.12.2021.

The ETH Store shops will be closed from 23.12.2021. After the closure the external pagelimited opening times for the between-term period will apply. The ETH Store on Sonneggstrasse is closed until early 2022.
You can find the special opening times for other services, such as the Coop at Hönggerberg, on the website of the respective company.
Contact points for the Facility Management department / General information, Lost & Found, Key management
All Info + Service Centres (ISC) will be open until 12 noon on 24.12.2021. Thereafter, the counters will be closed until 03.01.2022.
The Workshop platform will not process any requests from 12 noon on 24.12.2021 to 03.01.2022. Please submit orders to be placed this year in good time.
Maintenance of buildings, facilities and outdoor areas
The Emergency Desk is staffed 24 hours a day throughout the holiday period. Dial +41 44 342 11 88 for external / mobile phone calls or 888 for internal calls.
The ETH card (badge, student identity card) allows access to the student workstations and offices in many of the ETH buildings. You can find more information about this at 24-hour access to student working places. Buildings without an electronic door system may be accessed with a key as usual.
The Hönggerberg underground car parks are accessible throughout the holiday period. In an emergency, please contact the Emergency Desk via +41 44 342 11 88 or 888 (internal calls).
A full winter service will be carried out for the roads on ETH premises, but only limited snow clearing and gritting for footpaths between 24.12.2021 and 03.01.2022.
MIBAG Property Managers AG (HWW) and Livit FM Services AG (HWA, HWB, HWC) will provide the winter service for the student residences at Hönggerberg.
