Campus Hönggerberg 2040

ETH Zurich is working on the further development of its main locations – Zurich Zentrum and Zurich Hönggerberg. This will enable it to accommodate the expected increase in students and researchers and to create the space required to explore new areas of research and innovative teaching methods.

The Hönggerberg campus will play a key role in meeting the university’s space requirements in the future. The development works are based on a master plan known as Campus Hönggerberg 2040. This plan details how ETH Zurich will use infill development to enhance the campus on its existing premises over the coming decades.

The vision is of an attractive campus with a city neighbourhood feel, combining buildings for teaching and research with public gardens, open spaces, and a lively boulevard with cafés and shops.

Ulrich Weidmann, Vice President Human Resources and Infrastructure, and Katja Kalkstein-Eggimann, Project Manager Master Plan 2040, will provide more details in person on 4 June 2018 from 12 to 1 p.m. in HCI G 3 (presentations in German, questions in German or English.).
