ETH Zurich supports arXiv.org
More than 1.1 million scientific publications from the subjects of physics, mathematics, statistics, IT, quantitative biology and quantitative finance are accessible online at arXiv.org (external link). The e-prints can be downloaded open access in full text.
ETH Zurich's scientists are among the top ten users in the world in terms of the number of visits. They also use the opportunity to publish their own research projects on external pagearXiv.orgcall_made actively.
arXiv.org is operated by Cornell University Library and co-funded by nearly 190 institutions worldwide. By offering its support since 2011, ETH-Bibliothek has also been doing its bit to ensure that the full-text database remains at the scientific community’s disposal in the future.
ETH-Bibliothek therefore helps boost ETH Zurich's open access strategy, which it is now emphasizing with a "platinum membership" of arXiv.org.
