In the event series of the ETH Library from June 2022, you can get input on tools and topics that support your academic work in a short and crisp form.

The ETH Library returns to its normal opening hours at all locations, since all ETH buildings are open again.

Access to the media of the ETH Library requires a swisscovery registration and a SWITCH edu-ID.

Today, 1 June 2021, the Image Archive is launching its E-Pics catalogue as part of the new front end. The new front end features an intuitive, modern and responsive design for a simple, fast and particularly “fresh” new version of E-Pics catalogues.

In the June series, you can get input on tools and topics that support your academic work in a short and crisp form.

ETH Library is offering digital services and delivery of media to members of ETH Zurich during the closing period.

Academics at ETH Zurich can now publish free open-access articles in Elsevier journals with immediate effect. The prerequisite for this is that the corresponding author of the submitted article is employed at ETH Zurich and the article was submitted in 2020.

ETH Library supports the dissemination of knowledge related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers at ETH Zurich can now apply for special open access funding, which the library makes available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Various scientific publishers are currently making parts of their electronic resources freely available and thus contributing to research on COVID-19.

For the time being, ETH Library is closed at all its locations until and including Sunday, 19 April 2020.

In collaboration with Scientific IT Services, ETH Library conducts three consecutive workshops, each building upon the knowledge of the previous, which focus on the various elements of research data management along the research data life cycle. What a revelation the first photographs of a place taken from the air must have been for the people who lived there! Until then – in the 18th and 19th centuries – only a handful of (wealthier) men and even fewer women had the time, courage and means to climb high mountains and see what the world looked like from above.
