A growing number of voices are calling for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the mass atrocities and human rights violations committed by the Islamic State. This article considers whether this would be a good idea. The author thinks it would not be and that any referral by the Security Council to the ICC would be disastrous for international justice and the security of the Middle East.
