This article provides an overview of the main characteristics of right-wing terrorism in Germany and compares them with other well-known incidents in Europe and North America to assess the implications for security policy. The main argument of the author is that his analysis shows that right-wing terrorism may be a distinct form of political violence as it is often carried out by certain types of actors who use distinct methods and target particular types of victims.
