This paper discusses Yemen's efforts to stabilize itself and tackle the threat posed by al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). The author warns that despite the swift victories of Yemen's military in the Abyan governorate, al-Qaeda can just relocate to other parts of the country and improvise new tactics.
