This journal contains an article on the French language and cultural diplomacy in Africa and one on the UN Resolutions on Syria. The first article examines the extent to which the French language has influenced native languages on the African continent. The second article analyzes the United Nations Security Council’s response to the Syrian crises and the motives of Russia and China in vetoing sanctions against al-Assad's regime.
