In this newsletter the author unearths the underreported nexus between the remnants of war, particularly landmines and small arms, and their impact on sustainable development. The author argues that their removal is not only a humanitarian imperative but also a first essential step toward development as the circulation of weapons perpetuates a vicious circle of violence.
