Dr. Birgit Kessler is the head of the Office for Faculty Affairs. She is in charge of the appointment procedures for the department of Management, Technology and Economics, of Materials, of Biology, and of Biosystems Science and Engineering. She is involved in projects at the institutional level and your contact person concerning joint professorships with other universities or research institutions and regarding third-party funded professorships.

Dr. Monika Gessler is in charge of the appointment procedures for the department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences, of Computer Science, of Earth Sciences, of Environmental Systems Science, and of Health Sciences and Technology. Additionally, she is the contact person concerning gender equality topics at the professor level.
Katharina Hagenauer is together with Sonja Schläpfer responsible for the faculty planning and the financial planning as well as the budget coordination of the departments. Additionally, both are in charge for coordinating the retiring process for professors and contact persons concerning questions about retirement as well as the retirement status at professorial level. Katharina Hagenauer is also the budget coordinator for the presidential divisions.
Dr. Andreas Heinle is in charge of the appointment procedures for the department of Architecture, of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering, of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, of Mechanical and Process Engineering, and of Physics. In addition, he is the contact person regarding tenure procedures, SNSF professorships as well as the promotion of young talents to the professorial level in general.
Sonja Schläpfer is together with Katharina Hagenauer responsible for the faculty planning and the financial planning as well as the budget coordination of the departments. Additionally, both are in charge for coordinating the retiring process for professors and contact persons concerning questions about retirement as well as the retirement status at professorial level. Sonja Schläpfer is also responsible for the appointment procedures for the department of Mathematics.

Marquita Brillante is in charge of immigration formalities for new ETH professors and their families, contact person for active and emeritus professors and is also responsible for employment confirmations and obituaries of professors.
Tanja Gsell is responsible for sabbaticals and handles the preparation of the application process regarding outside activities and submits the decision to the Board. In addition, she supports the coordination of all processes with respect to assistant professors.
Dominique Schmutz is the primary contact to the ETH Board (ETH-Rat). She drafts all proposals regarding appointments, reappointments, promotions, and retirements of ETH professors, as well as the nomination of adjunct professors (Titularprofessorinnen und -professoren), for the attention of the Executive Board of ETH Zurich as well as the ETH Board. Further, she is involved in the Dual Career Office, where she is responsible for advising candidates for assistant professorships.
Susanne Schuler is responsible for coordinating and planning the recruiting process of professors for the departments D-ARCH, D-CHAB, D-ERDW, D-HEST, D-MTEC, D-INFK, and D-USYS. She is also your contact person concerning communications activities and questions related to the web-based recruiting system.
