ETH Zurich outlines in its Sustainability Report how it is committed to sustainability in its core areas of Research, Education, Campus, and Dialog with society. Published every two years, the comprehensive report reviews the progress the university has made with regards to sustainable development. It also highlights the sustainability challenges ETH Zurich is facing and monitors the current status of sustainability goals.
The latest report is the university’s fourth Sustainability Report. It covers the reporting period 2015/2016. Like its predecessors, it was written in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the ISCN/GULF Sustainable Campus Charter reporting frameworks (see description below). For the first time, the university’s Sustainability Report is jointly published with university’s Annual Report.
With its sustainability reporting, ETH Zurich assumes a pioneering role in the academic world, and it hopes other universities will follow its example.
