Call for young researchers' exchange with China

The call for young researchers' exchange together with the China Scholarship Council is now open. Deadline for the submission of applications in Switzerland is 8 April 2018.

ETH Zurich as the Swiss Leading House for bilateral S&T cooperation with Asia supports the exchange of young researchers between Switzerland and China. The programme offers two formats:

1) Hosting young Chinese researchers in a Swiss research group:

Swiss senior researchers from universities, universities of applied sciences or research institutes and from all scientific disciplines can apply to host young Chinese scholars (PhD students or post-doctoral researchers) in Switzerland for 6-24 months. A scholarship is jointly provided by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the Leading House ETH Zurich to cover living allowance and international travel.

The Swiss main applicant (hosting researchers) must apply to ETH Zurich as the Leading House using the application form below. Deadline 8 April 2018.

At the same time the Chinese visiting fellow must submit his/her application to the CSC by 1 March 2018. (For application details, please contact the CSC office in China or see: external pagehttp://bg.csc.edu.cn/DownLoad.aspx?PROJECTCODE=620057 A co-application is mandatory.)

2) Sending young Swiss researchers to China:

Swiss senior researchers from universities, universities of applied sciences or research institutes and from all scientific disciplines can apply to send one of their PhD students or postdocs (in exceptional cases) to China to conduct research within an existing project or collaboration for up to 12 months.The Leading House ETH Zurich will provide a scholarship to cover living allowance and international travel.

The Swiss main applicant (sending supervisor) must apply to ETH Zurich as the Leading House using the application form below. Deadline 8 April 2018. No application to the China Scholarship Council is needed.
