Statistics is an important tool in many areas of empirical science. It covers concepts and methods which are able to draw inference based on empirical data.
While Statistics is traditionally a branch of mathematics, it has strong connections to applications. Indeed, many good statisticians had their initial training not in Statistics but in a different field.
This Master’s degree programme provides an opportunity to further develop statistical thinking and methods and gain an overview of the most important models and procedures. Students also learn more about the quantitative methods of their own disciplines.
