Understanding and Creating Molecules

Our environment consists of a vast variety of molecules. The molecular sciences research their structure and their formation in nature. Chemistry deals with the fascinating world of molecules.

Structure

The Master’s degree programme comprises compulsory lectures in the core subject areas inorganic and physical chemistry, plus a comprehensive range of electives. Practical training in the laboratory, research projects and a four-month Master’s thesis project familiarise students with research work on current subjects.

To complete their training a majority of graduates in this discipline progress to a doctoral programme.

  • Advanced lectures in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry
  • Electives, practical laboratory training and research project
  • Master’s thesis project (16 weeks)
