Disability advisory service
Disabled students or those suffering from a chronic medical condition* face increased challenges in their daily lives.
Disability advisory service is the first point of contact for disability-specific questions and problems. We will help you to organise your studies and your study programme, with a focus on your needs and coordination with the units involved.
Because studying with a disability or chronic medical condition often involves long-term planning we recommend that you contact us as early as possible.
Special examination arrangements
Students with disabilities or suffering from chronic illness may submit an application for disability compensation, i.e. they may take examinations at equivalent levels of performance but under different conditions. The modifications involved do not represent any simplification of content.
Disability compensation is agreed on an individual basis between ETH Zurich and the respective student.
If you wish to apply for special examination arrangements please see the information sheet below.
Students requesting disability compensation should submit a detailed application and a medical report. In the context of performance assessments disability compensation is only approved for examination modalities. Any adjustment to examination content is not possible.
