We welcome Martina Basini as a new PostDoc in our group. Her research activity investigates the cooperation of electrons and nuclei in quantum material dynamics. She is interested in the microscopic effects arising in the electronic cloud as a consequence of coherent excitation of circularly polarized phonons.
A large delegation of the Ultrafast Dynamics Group attended the Gordon Research Seminar (03-04.02.2024), and subsqeuently, Gordon Research Conference (04-09.02.2024), on Ultrafast Phenomena in Cooperative Systems close to Lucca (Italy).
We congratulate Janine Zemp-Dössegger on the successfull defense of her Doctoral thesis. She presented her achievements on her work on "Terahertz response and dynamics in the spin-ladder compound Sr14−𝑥Ca𝑥Cu24O41". She will stay with us in the upcoming months to finalise her projects. We wish her all the best for her future career.
