Robert studied Interdisciplinary Sciences and History and Philosophy of Knowledge at ETH Zürich. From there he graduated with a Ph.D. on the quantum dynamics of molecular systems in 2013.
He has been Visiting Research Scholar at the Center for the Explanation of Consciousness at Stanford University in 2013 and visited the Centre for the Foundations of Science at the University of Sydney in 2014.
His research lies at the border between the mathematical descriptions used in science and
the philosophy of consciousness
