This publication argues that because of the increased presence of Asian Jihadists in Syria, it might be dangerous to ignore the security interests of Asian states in this conflict. Indeed, Turkey's and Saudi Arabia's support of these militants, coupled with the Saudi-sponsored proliferation of Wahhabism in Asia, could ultimately provoke a military intervention in Syria by China, India and other like-minded Asian states. To mitigate this risk, the author contends that it is necessary for the latter powers to enter into a dialogue with each other and develop a cooperative template they can work from.
