HCI Shop

The HCI-Shop is generally open Mon-Fri, 9:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 17:00.
Special opening hours during holidays are indicated on the start page of the HCI-Shop.

In order to purchase goods from us please proceed as follows:

Please apply - if you have not already done so - for a HCI-Shop customer card indicating your supervisor (form). Ordering of chemicals is possible only if you enter the name of your group's chemical safety officer in the form.

Use the forms "laboratory material", "chemicals" or "dry ice" - depending on your requirements. These three forms may not be combined. more >
Lab supplies

Glassware, office supplies, plastic products, personal protective equipment is available for order. These goods are delivered daily using ETH internal mail.
Chemicals and delivery

All chemicals are for ETH Hönggerberg campus use only! Dangerous goods may only be transported off ETH Hönggerberg campus using the official Transport Service ETH, i.e. public transport or personal vehicle are prohibited.

Chemicals are delivered in original containers or in safety cans only. Chemicals will be packaged according to the current transport regulations.

Transport to ETH center occurs weekly on Tuesdays. All orders placed before 5 pm on Monday night will be delivered the next delivery day.

Chemicals  must be picked up at time of delivery. If not, they will be returned.
Additional delivery attempts will be charged as indicated on the order form. Customers are responsible for transport of goods from delivery point to lab.

Empty canisters can be returned during the pick-up times.

Dry ice:

We deliver orders on dry ice to the ETH center daily using the ETH internal mail.

Please note that for logistic reasons we can only guarantee the delivery date but not the exact delivery time.

Dry ice packages usually leave the HCI-Shop in the morning at approx. 8 am.
Currently, the delivery to customers at the ETH center occurs before noon. Please consider this when calculating the amount of dry ice needed.

Please use the new order form for dry ice (forms) for ordering dry ice.

Please note:
For safety reasons we will fill 15 kg dry ice maximum per box in future.
For orders over 15 kg you will get two or more boxes.

Dry ice will be delivered to you in styrofoam boxes. We would be grateful if you could return the empty boxes back to us using the ETH internal mail. Thank you!
