Contents

This course focuses on chemical and physical processes in water technology. The learning content will be deepened and illustrated with examples from wastewater and drinking water treatment. The following processes will be discussed in detail:

  • Gas exchange
  • Sedimentation, flocculation
  • Filtration
  • Chemical oxidation and disinfection
  • Membrane treatment
  • Precipitation
  • Ion exchange
  • Activated carbon adsorption
  • Process combination in wastewater treatment
  • Process combination in drinking water treatment
