Sustainable Resource Management

Water, soil and air are becoming increasingly precious as populations increase. The goal of environmental engineers is to manage these vital resources in a sustainable manner and to rehabilitate them wherever necessary.

Credits ECTS:
120
Language of instruction: English

Structure:

Building on the basic knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's degree programme, the Master's degree programme expands students’ subject-specific knowledge in two of five areas from the fields of 'Water Resources Management', 'Urban Water Management', 'Ecological Systems Design, Waste Management and Air Pollution Control', 'Hydraulic Engineering' and 'Soil Protection'. These specialisations are supplemented by a broad range of electives. A 12-week external placement provides a preliminary insight into the professional world, and a project, together with the 16-week Maste'sr thesis, offers the opportunity to approach a subject-specific topic in an applied or research-oriented manner.

- Choice of 2 specialisations, at least one of the first three

- Electives, project work, professional practical training (12 weeks)

- Master's thesis (16 weeks)
