Science and technology to serve human health

In a world of ever-changing lifestyles and with an increasingly dynamic but also aging society it is very important to preserve and improve human health. This can be accomplished by professionals dealing with the functioning of the human being, from the whole body perspective to the cellular level, integrating also fundamental concepts of the technical sciences.

This interdisciplinary programme started in autumn 2011. The programme in Human Movement Sciences and Sport is part of this new curriculum, representing one specialization (major).


Educational Objective:

This study programme offers innovative training at the interface of humanity, health and technology. Its graduates are able to take up and integrate information from different areas of the health sciences and medical engineering and communicate it across disciplinary boundaries. Great emphasis is placed upon the development of sensitivity to ethical and social aspects of research and development.

Career Profile:

Graduates work as experts in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors, in research, development, production and marketing, and in health policy, administration and insurance. In regenerative and rehabilitation medicine, sports medicine and occupational health they are sought-after all-rounders.
