Monitoring, Designing and Sustaining our Living Space

Geomatic engineers monitor the structures of our living and working space, and contribute to a better understanding of processes relevant to the earth’s environment. Their knowledge ranges from the geosciences to computer science to spatial planning.

Structure:

Students of the three-semester Master’s degree programme can largely design their own curricula, whereby they deepen their knowledge in three of the six subject areas offered. Electives supplement this curriculum. A project and a 16-week Master’s thesis project provide the opportunity to approach a subject-specific topic in an applied or research-oriented manner. After obtaining the Master’s degree, graduates may acquire the Swiss federal license for cadastral surveyors.
