Experts in World Nutrition

Agricultural scientists make a valuable contribution to ensuring reliable, ecological, economical and socially sustainable human nutrition. Here they strive to optimise the use of limited natural resources.

Career profile:

Agricultural Sciences graduates are in great demand in the world of agriculture. They play a significant role in the search for solutions to problems such as how the growing world population can be sustainably fed without damaging soil, water and air resources, and how the raw materials for producing food and their processing quality can be continuously adapted to market requirements.

Agricultural scientists occupy management positions in commerce and industry, public administration, private organisations and in research. Those working in universities and research centres in Switzerland and abroad deliver new insights and deduce methods, processes or procedures. Graduates apply their knowledge in consulting services or development agencies. Their know-how enables them to work in public administration and sit on international committees which determine political and economic world nutrition policy.
