Public lecture: "Energy decisions: a consumer perspective"

On Thursday, 10 May, Michael Siegrist will present a study in which a representative sample of the Swiss population was asked about their attitude towards nuclear power after the Fukushima accident.
Results suggest that participants’ attitudes were rather stable and depended on prior beliefs and attitudes. This research points to potential misconceptions that could impede adoption of adequate energy-friendly consumption behavior. Results of the presented studies may provide a basis for a more rational discussion about the energy production and usage in Switzerland.
The public lecture is held in English at the Institute for Environmental Decisions (IED).
