The reading room of the Special Collections is available to users working with these holdings.
The Special Collections (Rare Books Collection, Archives and Private Collections, ETH Zurich Institute Archives, Image Archive, Map Collection) make a wide range of unique items held by the ETH-Bibliothek available to the public. These include numerous image holdings, modern topographical and thematic maps, rare old books, manuscripts from famous scientists and the ETH Zurich Archives.
Special media such as the large collection of scientific reports round off the selection that is available. Documents can only be viewed on site in the reading room of the Special Collections (Main Building H 26). The digital facilities for making the holdings in the Special Collections available to the public are constantly being upgraded.
