Current Events

As part of the Communication Academy, the Science-Policy Interface will contribute to the following courses

• "Science and Politics in Switzerland" on 17 May 2024 (in German and and for ETH members only). Course participants will understand the tension between science and politics and will be familiar with the different roles scientists can play in the Swiss legislative process, as well as the associated opportunities and risks.
• "Science for Policy: Science based policy consulting in spatial planning" on 4 June 2024 (in English and for professors and senior scientists at ETH Zurich only). The course series "Science for Policy" aims to 1) provide ETH professors with different insights into science-​​based policy advice and 2) establish a discussion platform on the role of science in policy at ETH Zurich.

The Communication Academy is a continuing education programme for science communication aimed at reserachers at ETH Zurich and the four research institutes PSI, Empa, WSL and Eawag.
