Immigration for doctoral students
Hands-on matters

ETH Human Resources takes care of all the formalities (immigration
etc) for doctoral students with employment or agreement for residence with
place of work.
At the same time, you should also register with the Doctoral Administration to become a doctoral student. You will receive the residence permit only in connection with being matriculated as a doctoral student.

Swiss Federal Health Insurance Act (KVG), all persons resident in Switzerland,
including foreign nationals, are obliged to take out health insurance. To select a health insurance company, we recommend consulting
