The services provided by the ETH management team ensure that teaching and research proceed smoothly. The quality and quantity of the services are controlled by the executive board. Its directives are implemented primarily by the central bodies. The ETH management is constantly adapting to rapidly changing needs: experiences from business are utilised, acknowledged industrial management procedures provide guidelines in the economical use of resources. Consequently ETH management constitutes a safe basis for achieving high standards of teaching and research, and for ensuring that ETH Zurich enjoys a high profile on the national and international scene.
