ETH Domain
A prime mover
In the ETH domain, in-depth basic knowledge goes hand-in-hand with outstanding expertise in state-of-the-art technologies and high-level strategic competencies in complex networks. ETH Zurich, EPF Lausanne and Switzerland's universities of applied sciences collaborate closely with the Cantonal universities. There are over 20,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and around 600 professors. The total budget exceeds CHF 2 billion, and around 17,000 persons work at the ETH domain. Academic contacts include the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Swiss University Conference, political contacts the Federal Assembly, especially the Committee for Science, Education and Culture. The ETH domain is affiliated to the Federal Department of the Interior.
ETHZ is part of the ETH Domain, together with EPFL, PSI, EAWAG, EMPA and WSL.
