Shuttle bus ETH Science City Link
ETH Science City Link connects the campuses ETH Zentrum and Science City from Monday to Friday. The shuttle buses leave every 20 minutes and stop en-route at "Haldenegg" (tram no. 7), about 600 metres from Zurich main station.
The first 2 buses leave at 7.34 and 7.54 a.m. at Zurich main station (bus stop "Bahnhofplatz/HB", in front of Hotel Schweizerhof) and go to Science City without stopping at ETH-Zentrum. Between 8.14 a.m. and 6.14 p.m. buses leave from ETH Zentrum at .14, .34 and .54.
From Science City buses leave at the same time with the first bus at 7.54 a.m. The two last buses at 6.14 and 6.34 p.m. go via "Haldenegg" to Zurich main station.
Authorised for rides between the two campuses are students with a valid Legi and staff with identification card. The service is free of charge.
Between 9 January and 17 February 2012, there will be a holiday service operated with a Eurobus minibus.

- From tram stop "Bahnhofstrasse/HB":
Tram no. 6 (direction Zoo) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital".
Journey time: about 6 minutes
- From tram stop "Bahnhofplatz/HB":
Tram no. 10 (direction Flughafen or Bahnhof Oerlikon) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital" or tram no. 3 (direction Klusplatz) to tram stop "Central" (first stop), from "Central" by Polybahn (departing every 3 minutes) to the Polyterrasse.
Journey time: about 8 minutes
You need a valid ticket for zone no. 10 ("Stadt Zürich").
From Campus Hönggerberg (Science City)
During the semester, the shuttle bus ETH Science City Link offers the fastest non-stop transfer:
- From Monday to Friday:
From 7.54 a.m. every 20 minutes at .14, .34 and .54 to ETH Zentrum stopping at tram stop "Haldenegg" (connection to main station).
The 2 last buses at 6.14 and 6.34 p.m. do not go to ETH Zentrum, but via "Haldenegg" to the main station.
Journey time: about 15 minutes
Authorised for rides between the two campuses are students with a valid Legi and staff with identification card. The service is free of charge.
Regular public transport connections from Hönggerberg (Science City) to ETH Zentrum
- Bus no. 69 (direction Milchbuck) to bus stop "Milchbuck", from there by tram no. 9 (direction Triemli) or tram no. 10 (direction Zürich HB) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital".
Journey time: about 25 minutes
- Bus no. 80 (direction Triemlispital) to bus stop "Meierhofplatz", from there by bus no. 46 (direction Bahnhofquai/HB) to bus stop "Central", from there by Polybahn (departing every 3 minutes) to the Polyterrasse.
Journey time: about 30 minutes
You need a valid ticket for zone no. 10 ("Stadt Zürich").
During the semester, mondays to fridays between 9:15 and 17:15, ETH students with a valid "Legi" can use trams no. 9 and 10 between the stations "ETH/Universitätsspital" and "Milchbuck" and bus no. 69 between "Milchbuck" and "ETH Hönggerberg" for free.
From Zurich airport, tram station Zürich Flughafen Bahnhof
- Tram no. 10 (direction Bahnhofplatz/HB) to tram stop "ETH/Universitätsspital".
The tram operates daily from 6 a.m to 11 p.m. with trams departing every 7 to 15 minutes.
Journey time: 30 minutes
- If you wish to travel from the airport to the city centre (main station), you should travel by S-Bahn or train. The trains leave from the station "Zürich Flughafen".
Journey time: about 10 minutes
You need a valid ticket for 3 zones.
Depending on your needs, you can buy a day ticket valid for 24 hours for all trams and buses.
